Welcome to Warp!

Welcome to Warp, the world’s premier communication software.  Before you start, we would like you to note that Warp has several time and location AI (Artificial Intelligence) features that helps it determine the best number to dial for your selected contact so please be sure to review detailed manual after the quick start guide.

Quick Start Guide

Warp is extremely simple to use but can become very complex if care is not taken to properly configure it.  When you first start Warp you will be presented with an empty screen.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Touch and hold anywhere on the screen to enter edit mode.

The very first thing that you need to do is determine how many contacts you wish to assign in Warp to determine the number of sides you need.  If you have 60 or less contacts you may wish to leave it in the default beginner mode.   Each mode allows you to activate more sides.

Safety Tip #1:  Do not enable more sides than you need to avoid unnecessary swipes.

To change global parameters touch and hold the screen to enter contact edit mode.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Now tap twice to enter General Settings

Page name:  Enter the category name for the side of the cubes currently displayed, such as “Friends” or “Business”

Safety Tip #2:  Try to plan how you would like to group your contacts to prioritize those you use most to the 1st side.  Don’t forget that you can set the default side to change depending on location or time using the Autopilot option described in the Settings section of this guide.

Now set the Mode to reflect the number of contacts you wish to assign:

Beginner Mode:  3 sides, 60 contacts

Intermediate Mode:  5 sides, 100 contacts

Expert Mode: 6 sides, 120 contacts

Now touch Close and return to the edit mode.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Touch the + to assign the remainder of your contacts.  Once a contact is assigned the + will change to a ? which you can use to edit the contact and a will appear in the top left to, you guessed it, delete the contact.

Safety Tip #3:  Although you can assign frequently used contacts to multiple sides, you can also lock the individual cube so that it will not rotate to make the selected contact visible regardless of the side you are on.

Once you have finished assigning contacts to the side, navigate to the next page by swiping in the desired direction.  The cubes  will rotate to reveal the next side.

If you wish to quickly reset to the home side, swipe diagonally.  The cubes will tumble and return to side 1 of the cubes.

If you wish to edit or move a contact, touch the ?  in the bottom right of the contacts cube.

Edit the contact and touch Close.

To move the contact to another location select Move and you will be returned to edit mode where you can navigate to the desired cube side.  Touch the new location and the contacted will be moved.

Congratulations, you are well on your way to communications efficiency paradise.  In order to realize Warp’s full potential and get the maximum enjoyment out of using it, please be sure to review the instructions, particularly the time and location options.

Settings

General Settings allow you to configure each side of the cube and global program options.  To enter General Settings navigate to the side you wish to configure, then touch and hold the screen to enter edit mode.  Now tap twice to get to the General Settings menu.

Cube side configuration options:

Page name:  This is used to assign a name to the current side.  Examples of good names would be “Work”, “Friends”, “Family”, etc.

Auto Pilot: The Auto Pilot mode is a powerful feature that will allow you to assign which side (or category) will be the home page based on your location or time.

Touch the Auto Pilot to activate it.  You will see the following options:

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

If you wish to set your default home page based on time, select the Time option.  For this example we will decide that currently selected side is our “Work” category and we want it to be the default page between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.  To do this touch the Time button:

Start Time:  Set the start time

End Time:  Set the end time

Now touch the Active Days button and select the days you wish this to be active.

Safety tip #4:  Be sure that there are no overlapping times or the feature will be disabled and Warp will default to side 1

If you would rather use your location to set your default side select touch the GPS button.  In our example we will assume that we want our “Friends” side to be our default side when we are 10 KM from home.  Touch the GPS option:

Location: When you arrive at the location that you wish to use as the reference point, navigate to the side you wish to set and get to the Auto Pilot option.  Now touch the Location label to set your current location as the reference point.

Range: Use the slider to set the range from the reference point where you want the side to be default.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Background:  Use this to the background image or color for the current side.

Image: Use this to set the background image

Safety tip #5:  Use this cautiously as use of many high res pictures will not only slow down the application and increase load times, but may also be visually confusing.  Try to use solid colors or even patterns that will help you quickly identify what side you are on.

Color:  Use the sliders to set the back ground color:

Orientation:  This is a powerful feature that you need to configure to take full advantage of Warp.  Tilting the phone left or right will allow you to select an alternate method of communicating with your contact.  If you are not a big SMS user, you may wish to set one of the defaults to use the alternate number in the contact definition.  Ex:  Tilt left to dial the contacts Home or Mobile number.

The defaults are:

Left tilt:  Email

Standard:  Phone

Right tilt:  SMS

Please note that due to Apple limitations in 3.0 SMS is not in app.  Starting an SMS will start the SMS app and exit Warp.

Contact Settings

To access the contact configuration enter edit mode by touching and holding the screen, then touch the ? in the lower right cube of the contact you wish to modify.

First Field:  The address book name will be displayed here.  We suggest that you use the first name or an abbreviation composed of 9 or less characters per line (2) to fit neatly under the cube.

Add Photo:  Touch to navigate to your photo library

Lock Contact: This will lock the cube so that it appears in all sides of the cube, handy for often called numbers.

Alt. Phone:  This option will set the alternate phone number to be called during defined time periods or tilt position.

Period:    Yet another powerful feature to help you call the right number.  Set the time of day to call the alternate number.  Ex:  Your contact works in an office during the day.  Set the alternate number as their mobile and select it as the primary number to dial between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

SMS:  Set your contacts SMS number, defaults to the mobile phone number in the address book.

Email:  Set the email address of your contact, defaults to the email address in the address book.
